Our creation of Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary will redefine what experienced travelers are looking for and excite even the highest expectation customer. We are a unique 5 star, 24-room sanctuary nestled within Shaba Valley just outside Paro, Bhutan.
Opening early 2018, our boutique luxury sanctuary is looking to find an Executive Chef with passion and drive to create a new food concept inspired by Bhutanese cuisine using local ingredients. We are looking for someone who shares our vision of showcasing our farm-to-table concept through our open interactive kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Lead the culinary and food & beverage teams to ensure the highest standards.
- Develop the culinary concept and vision, with the support of our Sous Chef.
- Create unique menus with a focus on wellbeing and menu flexibility.
- Manage all aspects of the food & beverage budget to ensure compliance.
- Train and develop the culinary and food & beverage teams.
- Ensure all products are consistently prepared and served to company standards.
- Create and oversee all SOPSs for the culinary and food & beverage departments.
- Support the recruitment of the culinary and food & beverage teams.
- Develop relations with local supplies and farmers to support our sustainable vision.
- Create unique culinary products and experiences for our guests.
Qualifications and Experience
- A passion for designing new food concepts using locally available products. Previous experience in high end hospitality, preferred but not essential. At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
- Possess qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment to excel.
- Enthusiastic with a passion for delivering a luxury product. Strong organisational skills and innovative in their approach to work.
